Molly Johnson

Marc Jordan

Since the mid '90s, Canadian singer-songwriter Marc Jordan has released a series of jazz-style records, including the JUNO Award-winning Reckless Valentine. With the release of his twelfth album in 2010, Crucifix In Dreamland, he returned to his pop stylings of the '70s and '80s, but with a fresh contemporary twist.

This latest album reveals that Jordan is singing better than ever! "We cut the record live, and that was an interesting thing for me," he says. "When I started in music in Los Angeles, we used to put guys in a room and cut a record. Then with the changes in technology we started sitting behind computers and doing everything with Mac Pro Tools. With this one, it essentially all happened live on the floor."

Internationally, Marc Jordan is also a sought-after songwriter whose lyrics have been sung by such superstars as Rod Stewart, Josh Groban, Bette Midler, Bonnie Raitt and Canada's own Molly Johnson!

Hear more about the Marc's career, including his involvement with the acclaimed Lunch At Allen's project and his recent role acting in the movie Score: A Hockey Musical.

We're all poor indie artists or people like myself who make no more than a living. I'm fine with that. I've never been interested in money which is probably why I don't have any."

From supplementing his income as a courier to garnering accolades from such musical superstars as Bob Dylan, Elton John, Michael Bublé and Elvis Costello, Ron Sexsmith will discuss major influences upon his career, including the JUNO Awards and even the after parties.
